As reporter learned from the Market and Quality Supervision Commission of Xiamen Municipality on October 25, the application for "Xiamen Branch of National Metrology Data Center" Project has been approved. The branch will be completed by Xiamen Institute of Measurement and Testing in 2026 as expected. 

Project construction review meeting 

As introduced, the "National Metrology Data Center", as one of the 20 national science data centers approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology, is mainly built by the National Institute of Metrology, China. Based on the concepts of "accuracy, mutual recognition, openness and win-win", the Center promotes the integration and application of metrology data and multi-field data and provides metrology data services to promote the high-quality development of China's economy and enable China to be a powerful nation of science and technology. 

Xiamen Institute of Measurement and Testing has vigorously promoted the digital construction and studied and implemented such projects as "comprehensive management system of metrology", "intelligent metrology information system", "online measurement and testing technology of display industry" these years, laying a solid foundation for the construction of "Xiamen Branch of National Metrology Data Center". Zeng Lin, Deputy Director of the Market and Quality Supervision Commission of Xiamen Municipality, said at the meeting that the Xiamen Branch would, based on the expert guidance, promote the construction of metrology database and application platform, carry out metrology data application and service and expand and improve the influence and popularity of the center so as to contribute to the development of digital economy.
