As the reporter learned from Fujian Provincial Intellectual Property Office, the Intellectual Property Development & Research Center, China National Intellectual Property Admistration recently released the Evaluation Report on China's Intellectual Property Development in 2020 (Report for short). The Report shows that in 2020 Fujian ranked 7th in China in terms of the Intellectual Property Comprehensive Development Index, up by 2 positions from 2019.
Fujian was among the first echelon of the National Intellectual Property Protection Index as it ranked 6th in the Intellectual Property Protection Index in 2020. In 2020, Fujian ranked 7th in China's Intellectual Property Creation Index and 8th in Intellectual Property Environmental Index. Fujian also topped the list in terms of other relevant indicators.
Fujian is currently a pilot province for building a supportive intellectual property hub. It's also among China's first batch of pilot provinces for the military-civilian integration of intellectual property and a pilot province for the reform of approving and using special marks for protecting geographical indications. Besides, Fujian is among the second batch of demonstrative pilot projects for administrative rulings on disputes related to patent infringement, and one of the three provinces in China to carry out pilot work of green patents.
