Forty key investment projects were signed during the Signing Ceremony of Fujian Key Investment Projects event that was part of the 21st China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) in Xiamen on Sept 8.

The 40 projects have a total investment value of 117.4 billion yuan ($18.22 billion).

The projects cover fields such as electronic information and digital industry, advanced equipment manufacturing, petrochemical industry, modern logistics, cultural tourism, characteristic modern agriculture and food processing, biology and new medicine, new materials and new energy.

Among the 40 projects are 14 foreign enterprise projects with a total investment of 37.6 billion yuan, four State-owned enterprise projects with a total investment of 17.1 billion yuan, and 17 private enterprise projects with a total investment of 52.7 billion yuan. The average investment of each project is more than 3 billion yuan.

These projects are expected to expand Fujian's digital economy, marine economy, and green economy and accelerate the building of a new modern industrial system, thus bolstering high-quality development.
