Construction Scale and Content The planned land area of the project is 800 mu with a total construction area of about 30,000 square meters. Major works include cobalt ore mining and mineral processing, supporting concentrator, sewage treatment plant, power distribution room, water supply and drainage pipe network, power pipeline, communication engineering, roads and mine greening infrastructure. Based on the extraction and processing of cobalt, nickel, scandium and other metal concentrates, its terminal products are widely used in building materials, chemical industry, machinery manufacturing, 3C electronics and other industries. Upon completion, the project will achieve an annual output value of over RMB 300 million and annual tax payment of over RMB 20 million. Factories, R&D centers and office buildings for deep processing will be built, together with supporting deep processing equipment to realize intermediate mineral processing capacity. Construction Rationale & Supporting Conditions Yongding District boasts outstanding mineral resource endowment with abundant and high-grade cobalt laterite ore reserves rich in strategic rare metals such as cobalt, nickel and scandium. These metals are core raw materials for new energy, new materials, 3C electronics, machinery manufacturing, chemical and building material industries, with broad market demand and huge development potential. Yongding District fully supports the development of intensive mineral deep processing industry. Aligned with the district’s work deployment of high-quality industrial development, intensive utilization of strategic minerals and industrial chain extension and supplementation for new materials, the project can rapidly build a full industrial chain covering mining, mineral processing and deep processing, convert resource advantages into industrial strengths and economic driving forces, and foster new industrial growth engines.
