According to a briefing released on February 28 by the General Administration of Customs, technical preparations were advancing across the board for the implementation of rules of origin and tariff concessions outlined in the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP). 

To date, the formulation of Chinese proposals regarding the reversion of the standards of origin and the guidelines for the implementation of the rules of origin have been completed, and strong efforts will be made to secure a consensus among all RCEP parties as soon as possible. Preparations for system adjustment are stepping up for the RCEP origin management information system, including functions such as export visa and application of agreed-upon tax rates.
