As an important town in the reservoir area of the river mouth power station, Xiongjiang Town, Minqing County is situated in the northwestern part of Minqing County, Fuzhou City, Fujian Province, in the northwestern part of Fuzhou City and eastern part of Fujian Province, with a distance of 22 kilometers away from the county seat. It has a total area of 111 square kilometers, including 11,780 mu (1 mu ≈ 666.67 square meters) farmland, 142,661 mu forest land and 8,400 mu waters. Xiongjiang Town is located to the west of Beijing-Taipei Highway and Hefei-Fuzhou High-speed Railway and it is 20-minute drive from Dongqiao Exit of the Highway. It takes 10 minutes to drive from Minqing North Station to Xiongjiang Town Sports Tourism Base and approximately 1 hour to drive from Fuzhou to Xiongjiang. Besides, National Road 316 and Provincial Road 202 provide convenient transportation. There are Yellow Paper Mulberry Forest National Natural Reserve, Yellow Paper Mulberry Forest Hot Spring – “No. 1 Creek of Hot Spring in China”, River Mouth Power Station – the largest hydropower station in East China, Maker Town, large and beautiful man-made lake and magnificent reservoir in the River Mouth Reservoir Area, which attract numerous tourists for sightseeing at home and abroad. Following Minjiang River, the Reservoir Area connects Wuyi Mountain in the north and Fuzhou City in the south. It is a highlight of Fujian Province’s hot tourist destinations.

In the first three quarters of 2024, Fujian Province's services sector maintained steady growth, accounting for over half of the regional economy. The revenue of service enterprises above the designated size showed strong expansion, with robust support for key industries. The added value of our province's services sector reached RMB 2,026.768 billion, a year-on-year increase of 4.7%, representing 50.4% of the regional GDP. In the first three quarters, 8,390 service enterprises above the designated size achieved a total operating revenue of RMB 735.36 billion, up 11.6% year-on-year, 4.4 percentage points higher than the national average and ranking first in China. Key industries played a prominent role, generating RMB 483.98 billion in revenue, a 19.4% increase, 9.5 percentage points above the national average, and also ranking first nationwide. Their contribution to the revenue growth of service enterprises above the designated size reached 103.2%.
