Introduction

Fuxing Economic Development of Fuzhou was previously known as Gushang Fuxing Investment Zone of Fuzhou. It was launched in August 1990, the first private-funded development zone in Fujian Province. It was counted as a role model among the government-funded, overseas Chinese-funded and private-funded development zones in Fuzhou at that time.  

Fuxing Economic Development Zone is situated in Gushan Town, Jin’an District in the east of Fuzhou City. It lies close to the airport expressway and the third loop line, separated from the Hengyu Cluster (under construction) of Jin’an New District by Huagong Road. It serves as a window to Fuzhou’s eastern gateway. As the sole remaining industrial compound in downtown, the development zone covers a planned area of around 5.5 square kilometers, including approximately 3.3 square kilometers of industrial land. Currently, the development zone houses 145 industrial enterprises, 89 of them above designated size. The industrial output totals 28.6 billion RMB, 23.5 billion of which is contributed by the above designated size enterprises. Among all the industrial enterprises, 34 contribute over 100 million RMB annual output and 18 contribute over 500 million RMB. It is noteworthy that II-VI Photonics and China Resources are each contributing more than 1 billion RMB. In 2016, the development zone’s tax revenue reached 1 billion RMB. II-VI Photonics, Chahua Modern Housewares and Xiamen Airlines Fuzhou Headquarters each contributed 100 million RMB to that figure. Now, Chahua Modern Housewares has been listed on the Mainboard Market. GLLO (Fujian) Smart Kitchen & Bathroom and JCJCE have been listed on the New OTC Market. Shenghui Logistics, Shengfeng Logistics and Tianyi Tongyi Electric are in the process of application.

1. Hongda Mindong Generator (from Japan), specialized in the manufacture and sales of Honda EC/EP (1.3-5KVA) Gasoline Generators;

2. Hitachi Koki Fujian (from Japan), mainly engaged in the manufacture and sales of electrical tools for metal processing, wood processing, dull polishing and construction;

3. Hitachi Household Technologies Fujian (from Japan).
