On July 3, the 2026 Fujian Province Food Industry Supply and Demand Matching Event, themed "Enhancing the Essence of Fujian's Flavors, Uniting Efforts to Link the World", was held in Fuzhou. A centralized signing ceremony for supply-and-demand cooperation projects was held on-site, resulting in the finalization of 12 high-quality cooperation projects with a total contract value of 179 million RMB, covering sectors such as food processing, retail chains, e-commerce operations, cross-border trade, and industrial park operations.
The event attracted more than 300 representatives from government agencies, food manufacturers, domestic and international buyers, retailers and supermarkets, and research institutions. More than 60 food companies gathered on-site to showcase over 100 varieties of Fujian specialty foods. Buyers from within and outside the province—including JD.com's procurement team and overseas buyers from Southeast Asia—toured the exhibition hall and held discussions with companies regarding online store listings, bulk supply, and export partnerships. A session announcing procurement needs and showcasing new products was held simultaneously at the event. The Retail Branch of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and JD Fresh, among others, announced their procurement needs, while Fujian Salt Food Technology Co., Ltd., Fujian Reecen Food Co., Ltd., Fujian Qinqin Holdings Co., Ltd., and Fujian Hongtai Biotechnology Co., Ltd., among others, unveiled new products on-site.
According to what is known, the food industry is a traditional strength of our province. It has cultivated a relatively comprehensive industrial system encompassing the processing of agricultural byproducts, the manufacturing of snack foods, and the production of refined tea, beverages, and drinks. The province ranks among the nation's leaders in sectors such as seafood processing, confectionery, canned goods, fruit and vegetable processing, tea, and freeze-dried foods. This event has established a platform for connecting manufacturers, e-commerce platforms, supermarkets, and overseas channels. It not only helps food companies expand their online and offline sales channels as well as their international market reach, but also enables buyers to secure high-quality sources of Fujian-style food products.
