On December 18, Zhangzhou’s electronics and information technology (IT) industry investment promotion event, themed “Data-Driven Sci-Tech Innovation · Xiamen-Zhangzhou Collaboration”, was held in Xiamen. A total of 42 projects were signed on-site, including 6 electronic manufacturing projects worth RMB 300 million in total investment. Additionally, the first batch of 18 institutional teams inked agreements to settle in the ICT Industrial Park, while 18 software and IT firms registered in Zhangzhou’s ICT Industrial Park, with a registered capital of RMB 48 million.
Co-hosted by the Zhangzhou Municipal Industry and Information Technology Bureau, Longwen District People’s Government, and the Taiwan Investment Zone Management Committee, the event drew over 150 enterprises and institutional representatives. It aimed to leverage Xiamen’s resources to extend, supplement, and strengthen Zhangzhou’s electronics manufacturing supply chain, advance digital transformation pilot projects for small and medium-sized enterprises (SME), and foster high-quality growth in the software services sector.
Officials from the Electronic Information Division and the Software & Information Division of Zhangzhou Municipal Industry and Information Technology Bureau delivered investment roadshows, while operators promoted key industrial carriers, including Longwen Sci-Tech Park, Maritime Silk Road International·New-Quality Innovation City (Longchi Large-Scale Industrial Complex), and Yutang Digital Economy Industrial Park. Representatives of related enterprises shared insights on smart manufacturing and supply chain collaboration, with discussions focusing on industrial software R&D and digital solutions. The event also featured the unveiling of Huawei’s ICT Academy Longwen Training Base, which will provide talent and intellectual support for the digital transformation and upgrading of Longwen District and surrounding areas.
In September, Zhangzhou was named a national pilot city for SME digital transformation. To bolster digital transformation efforts, Zhangzhou is openly recruiting top-tier digital transformation service providers nationwide and accelerating the development of its ICT Industrial Park. Incentives such as rent-free spaces, move-in-ready facilities, and shared offices aim to attract service providers and foster cluster development.
