The 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE) will be held in Shanghai from November 5 to 10, 2025. According to the Fuzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce, the Fuzhou Trade Delegation has been actively organizing preparations, with initial successes in investment promotion and procurement efforts. As of now, 1,021 organizations from Fuzhou have completed registration, ranking first among all prefecture-level cities in the province. Preliminary estimates indicate intended procurement transactions at the expo amount to approximately $500 million, covering key exhibition areas including automobiles and technical equipment. This procurement intention also leads all city-level delegations in the province.
During this year's CIIE, the Fuzhou delegation will implement more proactive and precise investment promotion strategies. Member units will form specialized teams to connect with global high-quality business resources and delve into potential cooperation opportunities. The focus is on elevating the transition from "exhibits to commodities" and "exhibitors to investors," aiming to facilitate a number of high-quality and notable investment intention projects in Fuzhou during the event, thereby translating the CIIE's impact into industrial momentum for Fuzhou's high-quality development.
The Fujian Delegation is scheduled to host the "Invest in Fujian" investment promotion conference in Shanghai on the afternoon of November 4. Fuzhou has not only actively participated in the preliminary preparations but has also successfully invited representatives from several World Top 500 and leading industry enterprises—including Tesla, Walmart, McDonald's (Golden Arches), and TPV Technology—to attend the conference and discuss major investment and trade plans. Concurrently, Fuzhou has organized all its counties and districts to comprehensively identify potential project leads for investment and procurement. The city is determined to leverage the opportunity of hosting numerous businesses at the CIIE to secure more substantive investment cooperation and procurement deals.
