The 8th Digital China Summit concluded on May 4. During the summit, a total of 455 key digital economy projects were signed, representing a combined investment of RMB 228 billion—an increase of 8% in the number of projects and 12% in total investment compared to the previous summit. The projects cover a wide range of sectors, including next-generation artificial intelligence, robotics, computing infrastructure, and internet healthcare.
The summit attracted over 360,000 participants and visitors, setting a new record and yielding remarkable results.
More than 40 forums and dialogue sessions were held during this summit, including the inaugural release of the Digital China Development Index System and the Digital Economy Unicorn Development Report. This summit highlighted the leading role of enterprises, with company representatives making up 70% of attendees.
A 56,000-square-meter on-site experience area showcased over 100 interactive digital technology exhibits and more than 30 physical models, with over 65% making their debut. For the first time, a dedicated low-altitude economy area was established. The on-site experience area was open to the public from April 28 to May 4, coinciding with the May Day holiday and attracting numerous residents and tourists eager to explore the latest in digital technology.
According to the organizing committee of the Digital China Summit, more than 60 entities have already secured exhibition space for next year's event during the signing ceremony for the 9th Digital China Summit. The summit’s appeal continues to grow.
