On February 19, the Administration Commission of Gulei Development Zone in Zhangzhou, Fujian Province, and CNNP Guodian Zhangzhou Energy Co., Ltd. signed a strategic framework agreement to jointly promote the green and low-carbon transformation and development of the Dongshan Bay area. Two industrial clusters, each valued at over 100 billion yuan and located approximately 10 kilometers apart, will join forces to pioneer cross-sector collaboration.
The agreement stipulates that both parties will leverage the clean energy base of the Zhangzhou Nuclear Power Plant to establish a nuclear energy comprehensive utilization system centered on "industrial steam supply and multi-energy coupling", thereby supporting the green, high-quality development of Gulei’s petrochemical industry. Additionally, the two sides will collaborate in public communication, safety culture, training, and other areas to enhance industrial safety management standards in Zhangzhou.
Mr. Zheng Limin, Member of the Standing Committee of the Zhangzhou Municipal Party Committee, Vice Mayor, and Secretary of the Gulei Development Zone Party Working Committee, emphasized that this strategic partnership with CNNP Guodian Zhangzhou Energy Co.,Ltd. will deliver robust clean energy support to Gulei Development Zone, catalyzing breakthroughs in green energy adoption and high-quality development. Moving forward, the zone will accelerate the diversified development and utilization of energy sources such as wind, solar, nuclear, thermal, energy storage, and hydrogen, focusing on building a zero-carbon supply chain system and advancing the construction of a world-class green ecological petrochemical base.
