The results of the 2024 Best Employer Awards were recently announced, with Fuzhou being named China's Best Talent Attraction City for four consecutive years.
This prestigious selection, often referred to as the "Oscars" of the human resources field, is jointly organized by the Social Survey Research Center of Peking University, the National School of Development at Peking University, and Zhaopin.com. The panel conducted a rigorous and scientific evaluation of various cities, assessing their talent policies, institutional environments, talent attraction activities, and their effectiveness. Utilizing big data analysis, they considered factors such as talent attraction, retention rates, and developmental vitality to ultimately select the 2024 Best Talent Attraction City in China.
In recent years, Fuzhou City has been striving to establish itself as a national-level talent hub. By leveraging its overseas Chinese resources, fostering cross-strait exchanges, and capitalizing on its digital economy advantages, Fuzhou aims to create a dynamic synergy where the city nurtures talent and talent, in turn, propels the city's development. Fuzhou City is dedicated to attracting and nurturing young scientific talent by implementing nine measures to recruit high-level overseas professionals and establishing a subsidy and referral reward system for international talent coming to Fuzhou. For two consecutive years, Fuzhou has hosted the Overseas Chinese Talent Conference for Development, known as the "Qiao Zhi Hui" event, formed a special committee for overseas talent, and created platforms such as the "Qiao Zhi Hui" think tank and the Overseas Innovation Alliance. Additionally, Fuzhou has introduced the first batch of ten pioneering measures to establish the Fuzhou-Mazu "Local Living Circle" and several initiatives to support the development of a "Straits Youth Development City," attracting Taiwanese compatriots and enterprises to invest and grow in Fuzhou City. Additionally, the city leverages the advantages of digital development to build a talent market for the digital economy, supporting Fuzhou Software Park in its efforts to become a top software park in China and the Donghu Digital Town in establishing a national-level network audio-visual industry base, gathering over 3,000 digital economy professionals.
