The achievements of "Made in Fujian" are truly impressive.

Over the years, Fujian has consistently pioneered new pathways by deeply integrating technological and industrial innovation, thereby shaping new advantages in industrial development. The scale of key industries such as electronic information, advanced equipment, petrochemicals, and modern textiles and apparel is approaching or exceeding one trillion yuan. The industrial added value increased from 1.07 trillion yuan in 2014 to 1.85 trillion yuan in 2023, with an average annual growth rate of 6.7%. The added value of the manufacturing industry ranks fourth in the nation as a percentage of GDP.

Today, Fujian's electronic information industry boasts a comprehensive industrial chain encompassing "chips, display screens, intelligent terminal equipment, and core components." It is the first to fully embrace mainstream new display technologies. The textile industry ranks third nationwide in revenue, while the footwear industry leads the country, achieving a complete production chain from "a drop of oil to a piece of clothing to a pair of shoes." Major projects like Zhongsha Gulei Ethylene Project and Gulei Refining and Chemical Integration Project have positioned Fujian as a leader in the petrochemical sector. The world's largest 26 MW offshore wind turbine has been launched, featuring world-leading key component technologies and a fully autonomous and controllable supply chain. Innovative companies have developed "solo champions" and "supporting experts" with unique skills. Several critical core technologies and products, including hand-tear steel, pen-tip steel, photoresist, electronic specialty gases, cervical cancer vaccines, and high-purity metal targets, have achieved breakthroughs through independent research and development. Xiamen Tungsten has globally launched tungsten wire for photovoltaic cutting and rare earth photoelectric crystals, successfully replacing imports. Products such as power batteries, pearlescent materials, lamp tungsten wires, POS machines, and LED chips lead the world in shipment volumes. Items like relays, fluorinated ether, and consumer lithium batteries hold the highest global market share, and the production capacity of caprolactam is the largest worldwide.

Statistics show that Fujian's manufacturing sector has achieved over 130 key technological breakthroughs and received 70 National Science and Technology Awards. Globally, one in every three car windows and one in every five pairs of sports shoes are made in Fujian. Nearly half of China's nylon and a quarter of its clothing are produced in the region.

Fujian's manufacturing success is supported by technological innovation platforms. At a recent press conference, it was announced that Fujian currently hosts 10 national key laboratories, 7 national engineering technology research centers, 6 national engineering research centers, 86 national enterprise technology centers, 267 provincial key laboratories, and 220 new research and development institutions.
