Xiamen firms highlight supply chain innovations and applications. Crowds gather at the Xiamen C&D Inc. booth.
Yesterday, the China International Exhibition Center in Shunyi, Beijing, buzzed with activities as the second China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) commenced. Six Xiamen companies showcased their latest achievements at the event, spanning comprehensive supply chain services and advanced manufacturing. This underscores Xiamen's strong capabilities as a leading hub for supply chain development in China.
This year's CISCE, themed "Connecting the World for a Shared Future", spans a total exhibition area of 120,000 square meters. It highlights six major sectors: Advanced Manufacturing, Clean Energy, Smart Vehicle, Digital Technology, Healthy Life, and Green Agriculture, along with a dedicated Supply Chain Service exhibition area. The event has drawn nearly 700 enterprises and institutions from 69 countries, regions, and international organizations. It showcases new technologies, products, and services across the key upstream, midstream, and downstream segments of each sector. The exhibition will continue until November 30.
"Chain" Thinking Drives Xiamen Firms' Innovations
The CISCE not only showcases products but also emphasizes "chain" thinking, highlighting the industrial chains and ecosystems. In the Supply Chain Service exhibition area, Xiamen-based enterprises such as Xiamen C&D Inc., Xiamen ITG Group Corp., Xiamen Xindeco Ltd., Xiamen Xiangyu Co. Ltd., and Xiamen Airlines shared their exploration and practices in digital and intelligent supply chains, as well as green supply chains, with domestic and international clients through representative case studies.
In the newly established Advanced Manufacturing exhibition area this year, Xiamen Tungsten presented the latest technological achievements in its three core business areas: tungsten and molybdenum, new energy materials, and rare earths. A company representative expressed their anticipation of using this platform to enhance interactions with upstream, midstream, and downstream enterprises and jointly explore new applications for materials.
XMFTZ Partners with GE Healthcare in Strategic Memorandum
While showcasing advancements in corporate supply chains, Xiamen is also leveraging the international platform resources of the CISCE to deepen its collaboration with leading industry enterprises. Yesterday, at the GE Healthcare booth, the Xiamen Area of China (Fujian) Pilot Free Trade Zone (XMFTZ) signed a strategic cooperation memorandum with GE Healthcare.
The reporter learned that GE Healthcare has several major suppliers in Xiamen, with Plexus being one of the largest. Plexus provides GE Healthcare with circuit board manufacturing, components for related products, and even complete assembly and testing services. GE Healthcare plans to use this signing as an opportunity to leverage the institutional innovation advantages of XMFTZ. By strengthening cooperation and sharing opportunities with Plexus, they aim to collaboratively build a resilient industrial and supply chain.
"We hope that by leveraging this national-level expo, we can help enterprises in Xiamen expand their networks, enhance resource integration, and accelerate their international expansion. Additionally, we hope that through this expo, enterprises will strengthen communication and explore collaboration with leading global enterprises. Together, we aim to promote the integration and development of the global supply chain, establishing a more stable, secure, and efficient supply chain system.” said Ke Biru, Chairperson of the Xiamen Sub-Council, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade.
