On August 26th, the press conference for the upcoming 24th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) was held in Beijing, featuring key addresses by Ling Ji, Vice Minister of Commerce and Deputy China International Trade Representative, and Wang Jinfu, Vice Governor of Fujian Province.

In his remarks, Ling Ji emphasized that this year's CIFIT will place a strong focus on international investment, reflecting current global trends in cross-border investment. aims to innovate new investment attraction models by organizing a series of specialized and targeted promotion activities. These efforts seek to create a seamless environment for both exhibition and business negotiations. The event will include nearly 50 varied and content-rich matchmaking and roadshow activities. With a particular focus on professional matchmaking, the Ministry of Commerce will collaborate with the People's Bank of China, the China Securities Regulatory Commission, the National Financial Regulatory Administration, and financial institutions like China Investment Corporation. This cooperation will bring in more leading international financial capital enterprises, paving the way for a series of financial capital investment promotion activities. In addition, CIFIT will broaden its international cooperation by inviting government departments, industry organizations, and high-quality enterprises from around the world. Authoritative reports on foreign investment attraction and outbound investment will be released, offering professional public services to support international investment cooperation. 

Wang Jinfu outlined Fujian Province's enhanced organizational efforts to support the "Invest in China" flagship exhibition at CIFIT. Fujian will also organize special promotions for financial capital services to aid the innovative development of the province's real economy. The "Online CIFIT" platform will see expanded AI-powered matchmaking functions, catering to the needs of both domestic and international merchants. Fujian Province will leverage its unique advantages to engage overseas Chinese business leaders, enterprises, and representatives of Fujianese origin as well as Fujianese representatives from chambers of commerce and associations in countries and regions participating in the "Belt and Road" initiative. Events like the Project Matchmaking for Promoting the Return of Fujianese Entrepreneurs and the "Silk Road Investment" Park Development Matchmaking will provide platforms for overseas Chinese to invest in their homeland. To ensure smooth participation, a dedicated task force will be established to streamline processes, improving efficiency and convenience for guests and merchants. 

During the conference, it was announced that this year's CIFIT, under the theme "Investment Connecting the World," will cover 120,000 square meters of exhibition space and is expected to draw participants from nearly 100 countries and regions. Hungary and Zhejiang Province will serve as the guest country and guest province, respectively.
