Fuzhou Port and Xiamen Port, both suited in Fujian Province, were listed among the world’s top 50 ports in the 2022 global port throughput rankings released by the Shanghai International Shipping Institute.

According to the rankings data, in 2022, Fuzhou Port and Xiamen Port handled 302 million and 219 million tons of cargo, respectively. 

Furthermore, Xiamen Port, Fuzhou Port and Quanzhou Port were all ranked among the world’s top 100 container ports. Xiamen Port handled 12.43 million TEUs, ranking 14th globally, followed by Fuzhou Port with 3.46 million TEUs and in 57th place, and Quanzhou Port with 2.08 million TEUs in 91st spot.
