Jointly organized by the Internet Society of China and the Municipal Government of Xiamen, the press conference for China Internet Enterprises’ Comprehensive Strength Index (2022) and the Top 100 Enterprise Summit were recently held in the city of Xiamen. The conference released a Report on the Comprehensive Strength Index of Chinese Internet Enterprises (2022) and announced the top 100 Chinese Internet Enterprises of the year based on comprehensive strength; the top 20 enterprises of the year based on growth; and the top 10 enterprises of the year based on data security services. A number of Fujianese enterprises could be found listed in each of these categories.

While those at the top of the rankings remained well-known tech giants such as Tencent, Alibaba, Baidu, and JD, there were still five enterprises from Fujian in the Top 100: Meitu, 4399 Net Limited, G-bits Network Technology, Fujian Boss Software, and NetDragon Websoft, respectively ranked 33rd, 45th, 60th, 66th, and 89th on the list.

In addition, six of the top 20 fastest growing Internet companies were also from this southeastern province. They were: Kuangshi Alliance Network Technology Ltd., Fujian HealthyWay IT Co., Ltd., Xiamen Jizhihudong Network Co., Ltd., GK, and YOULONG Network Ltd., which ranked 1st, 3rd, 5th, 6th, 12th, and 20th, respectively.

It is also worth noting that this conference was the tenth consecutive year for releasing the list of the Comprehensive Strength Index of Chinese Internet Enterprises, selecting a total of 19 enterprises from across the country. Fujian’s two Internet companies, i.e., 4399 Net Limited and NetDragon Websoft, along with leading Internet enterprises such as Alibaba, Tencent, Baidu, JD, and the Xinhua Net, made it into this category.
