Fujian provincial government has recently issued its implementation plan to standardize and increase the accessibility of government services, where the general objectives and requirements of, and the methods and supporting measures for optimizing government services over the next three years are outlined.
The plan stipulates that by the end of 2022, a sound mechanism must be established for the transition from local government service standards to national ones; all government service centers across the province must have a comprehensive service window; the integrated government service platform, i.e. Wanghaoban, must be significantly more powerful than it is now; and high-frequency government services must be accessible both in Fujian and from other parts of the country. It is expected that by the end of 2025, government services within the province will be provided in accordance with national standards without discrimination, and all innovation-related government services will be readily accessible and impartial, and a high-quality efficient government service system will be up and running.
Data show that Fujian has so far developed uniform standards for 5,245 government services and 455,000 guidelines for standardized services, launched 5,152 service packages for individual matters, and installed 2,265 e-Government machines across the province which can provide up to 882 different services.
