The 22nd China International Fair for Investment and Trade, which is being held in Xiamen, Fujian province from Sept 8 to 11, will continue to offer a platform for projects and capital matchmakings, according to a representative from the fair's organizing committee.

Nearly 1,000 project roadshows and more than 200 professional investment institutions are expected to attend the four-day fair's 30-plus investment talks and project matchmaking activities.

Statistics indicate that 512 projects deals with a total investment of 392 billion yuan ($56.25 billion) were signed during the last year's CIFIT.
This year's fair will focus on new industrial tracks and multinational industrial chains and set up a 2.6-hectare matchmaking hall featuring an emerging industry investment and financing exhibition, a foreign-funded companies exhibition, a matchmaking meeting for the health industry and low-carbon economy, a metaverse and talent attraction exhibition, and a project matchmaking center where project roadshows related to dozens of industrial tracks including the digital economy, industrial internet, artificial intelligence, and biomedicine will be held.
The 22nd CIFIT is also hosting a 2,800-square-meter investment hotspot city exhibition that will have 18 cities promoting their advantageous industries. Northeast China's Heilongjiang province and North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region also plans to host special investment promotional events during the fair.
The organizing committee said that more than 60 countries have signed up for this year's CIFIT. A series of matchmaking activities will not only help Chinese companies expand, but also create a platform for other countries to showcase their business environment and facilitate international investments.
