At the recently hosted Chinese Government Procurement Summit and the 2021 Chinese Government Procurement Award Ceremony, Xiamen City of Fujian Province was granted the Chinese Government Procurement Optimized Business Environment Excellence Award.

According to Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Finance, Xiamen has been improving the business environment for government procurement and ranked among the top in the country's business environment evaluation for two consecutive years. The city has launched a series of measures to lighten the burden on the suppliers such as canceling paper bidding documents and reducing the charge of guarantee. In 2021, Xiamen released the "Policy Q&A of Xiamen Municipality on Optimizing the Business Environment for Government Procurement", enabling suppliers to better participate in government procurement activities and enjoy policy dividends.

In addition, to facilitate fair competition, improve procurement transparency and strengthen protection of the suppliers' rights, Xiamen has also taken the lead in the country in establishing the risk-warning system for procurement activities and dynamic notification system for government procurement monitoring; Xiamen has also taken the lead in the province in disclosing procurement intentions. Xiamen ranked third in the country in the transparency of government procurement for two years in a row.
