Xiamen City of Fujian Province will build the Xiamen Digital Industrial Computing Center to provide cloud computing support for the advanced manufacturing clusters in Xiamen Science City and Tongxiang High-tech City. Yesterday, Xiamen Torch Group successfully won the bid for plot 2022TP01, which marks the official launch of the Xiamen Digital Industrial Computing Center project.
As a major new infrastructure, the Xiamen Digital Industrial Computing Center is aimed at serving the BRICS Innovation Base and being built into an industry-oriented supercomputing center and digital industrial innovation base. It will become the first large supercomputing center for heterogeneous computing as well as the only industrialized hot data center that is fully oriented towards new industries in Fujian Province.
This plot is located west of West Binhai Avenue in the east coastal area and north of Meifeng Ecological Park, with a total area of approximately 51,150 square meters. The project is dedicated to providing cloud computing and cloud-based services for industrial computing, industrial simulation, industrial rendering, industrial software services, industrial design, cloud-based offshore architectural data centers, etc.
According to Xiamen Torch Group, the project will attract excellent domestic and foreign software developers, and various high-quality industrial customers in such fields as aeronautics, astronautics, and film production, forming a strong industrial cluster centered on industrial cloud services for attracting investment. The project, with a significant driving and adsorption effect on Xiamen’s new data infrastructure and digital field, will accelerate digital transformation, make up for Xiamen’s weakness in the field of industrial supercomputing, and inject new impetus into the building of a digital Xiamen.
