Yesterday, three new container yards for refrigerated and dangerous goods welcomed the first batch of goods in Xiamen Port. Key production enterprises in Fujian province will enjoy safer and faster services for the import and export of refrigerated and dangerous goods.

The three container yards are located in Haitian, Songyu, International Container Terminal belonging to Xiamen Container Terminal Group, the member enterprise of Xiamen Port Holdings Group. They cover a total area of 25,000 square meters, and are designed to achieve an annual throughput capacity of more than 100,000 TEU. Relevant person in charge of Xiamen Port Holdings Group said that such a large scale and throughput capacity are leading among the domestic ports. The opening of the three container yards for refrigerated and dangerous goods can further optimize the business environment, inject new impetus into the steady growth of container throughput of Xiamen Port, ensure the stability of the industrial chain and supply chain, and help Xiamen Port strive to complete over half of the tasks in half a year.

It is learned that raw materials such as photoresist often used in the production of electronic products and integrated circuit, and new energy products such as lithium-ion batteries need to be transported in the refrigerated and dangerous goods containers.
