Quanzhou Has Ranked First in Fujian Province for 10 Consecutive Years in the Number of Newly Added Invention Patents

We learned from Quanzhou Intellectual Property Office that as of now, there are 10,220 valid invention patents in the city, and the number of newly added patents in the year ranks first among districts and cities in Fujian Province for 10 consecutive years. There are 583,000 valid registered trademarks in the city, ranking first in prefecture-level cities in China; there are 159 well-known trademarks and 1,048 Madrid trademarks registered, both of which rank among the tops in China.

In recent years, Quanzhou has pioneered the efforts in the demonstration and guidance of intellectual property rights, boosting the high-quality development of Quanzhou City. In driving the construction of intellectual property finance, Quanzhou has set up a risk compensation fund for intellectual property pledge financing with an initial capital of 10 million yuan to facilitate small and medium-sized enterprises to access intellectual property pledge loans; arrange 40 million yuan of financial funds to participate in the establishment of Quanzhou Intellectual Property Operation Fund with a total scale of 200 million yuan to support the secondary layout, commercial development and implementation of high-value patents in intellectual property operation.

When it comes to improving the efficiency of intellectual property services, Quanzhou City takes Quanzhou Knowledge Creation Industrial Park as the core area, connects "Knowledge Creation in Fujian Province" to build a "Knowledge Creation in Quanzhou City" operation service platform, and promotes the integration of high-quality intellectual property service resources with park and industrial development; Quanzhou Intellectual Property Exhibition Hall will be built as a publicity position to display Quanzhou brands, intellectual property innovation achievements, brand transaction operation, and typical cases of rights protection.
