Scope and scale of construction: the high-tech pharmaceutical valley project is a signature project of "Pharmaceutical City in East Fujian" and also an accessory project of the biopharmaceutical park. Located in the southwest of Zherong County, it is only 3km away from the downtown and enjoys superb geographic conditions and a moderate and humid climate. With a total covering area of 2,000mu, it functionally comprises the scientific research and production zone, technical service and living service zone, medicinal plant growing, research and observation zone, medicine (medicinal material) display zone, health preservation and nursing cultural zone, recuperation and physiotherapy zone and medicinal material shopping experience zone. In 2024, Fujian Province had 344 pharmaceutical enterprises above designated size, generating a total revenue of RMB 60.84 billion. Our province has established a relatively comprehensive pharmaceutical industrial system, covering categories such as chemical APIs (active pharmaceutical ingredients), chemical drug preparations, biopharmaceuticals, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) preparations, TCM decoction pieces, and medical devices. The biopharmaceutical industry in Fujian Province is primarily concentrated in Xiamen, Sanming, Fuzhou, and Zhangzhou, with these four cities accounting for approximately 80% of our province's total revenue.
