Modern Textile & Apparel Industry
In 2024, Fujian Province had 4,406 textile, apparel, and footwear enterprises above the designated size, with industry revenue reaching RMB 950.2 billion, a 7.6% year-on-year increase. This includes RMB 683.1 billion from the textile and apparel segment (up 7.1%) and RMB 267.1 billion from the footwear segment (up 9.1%). Fujian’s modern textile and apparel industry ranks among the largest in China, featuring a comprehensive industrial chain spanning chemical fibers, spinning, weaving, dyeing and finishing, garment manufacturing, footwear production, and industrial textiles. Our province leads the country in sports shoe production and import-export volume. Notably, 5 of the 14 Fujian-based enterprises listed in the "2023 China Top 500 Private Enterprises" are from the textile and apparel industry.
